Chinasa (Chinny) C Anya has MSc in Metallurgy from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest Romania and PhD in Metallurgy from University of Strathclyde Glasgow Scotland. He worked as a post-doctoral research associate, in the area of structural engineering ceramics at University of Strathclyde. He continued to work in this field when he later moved to University of Oxford in England as a research assistant in the Department of Materials, where his professional career as an academic was bitterly stopped, as can be read in oxcheps.new.ox.ac.uk/casebook/Resources/ANYAVU_1%20DOC.pdf and other web pages. He is now a freelance researcher and writer.

Chinny (as popularly called) has authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles in science and engineering. He is a Biographee in the "Who's Who in the World" (20th edition) by Marquis publishers of the USA and the Dictionary of International Biography (31st edition) by the International Biographical Centre Ely Cambridge, England. He now publishes on-line, and has 7 articles so far.

Chinny lives with his wife, Chinwe, and two sons under 16 (as at 2011) in Kidlington Oxford, England. He also has 2 adult sons from a previous marriage (one is a footballer, currently plays for Cadiz football club in Cadiz, Spain. The other is a General Practitioner in London England).

Chinny's previous professional background (as a lecturer at a state University in Nigeria and as a scientific/engineering researcher) makes him to do more of evidence-supported non-fictional writing. His interests in writing therefore include science, society and law.

Chinny loves his music, both as a dancer and a listener. His interest in music ranges from classical to hip-hop/rap.
